February 22: Mud and Snow in Tuba City and Hopi Country

We'd upload pictures, but Internet and cell phone connections are limited in the traditional Hopi Tribal Nation.

"War Paint" pilot Susie Aikman reports 14 inches of snow and a lot of red mud. The weather was bleak, but according to Aikman, the turn out in both Tuba City and on Hopi lands was fantastic. Much thanks to all the tribal leaders who helped make it happen and to all the people who came out to see the 2010 Census Tribal Road Tour.

Now to the Window Rock Census Office. Beginning at 1pm we'll be set up and ready to party (hey it only happens once every ten years) at the census office in the Navajo Nation Shopping Center, Pad B. That's along AZ State Hwy 264 & Local Highway 12. For all your Google mapping needs click here.
