We've pulled into Ignacio, Colorado and are staying at the Sky Ute Casino. We'll be up and running at the casino at 11 a.m. tomorrow (Sunday, Feb. 28th) and on Tuesday we're headed to Towaoc to spend time with the Ute Mountain Ute. We'll be at their casino from 11 - 2.
War Paint pilot Susie reports this:
"Be sure Karen tells you about our "shortcut" to Ignacio from Dulce. Thrilling!
It's not yet 6am here at the casino hotel and at 5:15am a false alarm went off! Now that will start your morning with a bang! Smells like someone left the coffee pot on empty."
There's adventure around every corner and we can't wait to report the "shortcut". It could be a valuable lesson of what not to do.

And from our trip to Dulce, NM, Susie says:
"Kudo's to Karen and the folks in the trenches at Dulce. It was Fabulous. Well planned and coordinated.
Young men noticed the vehicle and came in to tell us they thought it was cool. Older adults were seen reading the forms on the vehicle.
I would estimate we talked with and gave handouts to nearly 100 adults and several smiling children. The folks at the market were helpful and friendly and stopped to visit and ask questions also."
Everywhere we go people have been wonderful.
